Description
Recent results of Xi_b baryons spectroscopy studies are reported, using proton-proton colliding beam data from the LHC collected by the CMS experiment at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV in 2016-2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb-1.
We present the observation of new Xi_b(6100)- baryon, also the observation of new Xi_b- —> psi(2S) Xi- decay and measurement of its branching fraction with respect to the Xi_b- —> J/psi Xi- branching.
The Xi_b0 —> Xi_b- pi+ decay is also investigated, where Xi_b- baryon is reconstructed through the decays J/psi Xi-, psi(2S) Xi-, J/psi Lambda K-, and J/psi Sigma^0 K-. Precise measurements of mass and natural width of Xi_b0 baryon, as well as the ratio of Xi_b*0 / Xi_b- production cross-section ratios are reported.
